Full Graphitized Petroleum Coke（HIGH TEMPERATURE GP--CHQ GPC）, also known as high-temperature graphitized carburizer, is produced from petroleum coke and is treated through high-temperature graphitization. It is used as a carbon additive in the steel smelting and casting industry. With characteristics such as high carbon content, low sulfur, low nitrogen, minimal harmful impurities, and high absorption rate, it is a new type of material that improves processes and enhances the quality of molten steel in the steel industry. It is widely used as a preferred carburizer in the smelting of low-nitrogen steel, steel cord, high-strength bead wire, and other steel types. It is also extensively researched and applied in the fields of casting, brake pads, and friction materials. It is particularly suitable for producing high-value-added cast products with electric furnace melting technology, significantly increasing the use of scrap steel and reducing or eliminating the use of pig iron, with an absorption rate of over 90%.

Semi-graphitized Petroleum Coke（SEMI GPC -SGPC ）,also known as medium-temperature graphitized carburizer, is the insulation layer during the high-temperature graphitization process (Acheson furnace), with calcination temperatures ranging from 1700-2700°C. It features high fixed carbon, fast dissolution speed, high absorption rate, moderate sulfur content, and high cost performance.

Through the above distinctions, it is not difficult to see that both are products of the graphitization process. The Full Graphitized Petroleum Coke has superior specifications and better absorption effects. Semi-graphitized Petroleum Coke is often used in foundries as a carburizer and is more economically affordable compared to Full Graphitized Petroleum Coke. The main difference between the two lies in sulfur content. Due to the Graphitization temperature and time in the graphitization furnace, the sulfur content in semi-graphitized carburizer is higher than that in graphitized carburizer. This is the distinction between Full Graphitized Petroleum Coke and semi-Graphitized Petroleum Coke!

The color of full graphitized is darker, and it can draw lines on white paper, whereas the color of semi-graphitized is lighter and cannot draw very dark lines, making this a significant factor in distinguishing them.
